As it is well known the regime in Iran on various occasions, such as elections or internal crises

disregard the rights of its citizens for its own goals. They use different methods to stifle the freedom voice .Execution and mass hanging are two methods which the regime has used from the outset of Iranian revolution . Prior to the next round of Iranian parliamentary elections and escalation of internal conflict , Islamic Republic tries to liquidate two young and innocent prisoners in Kurdistan, Zanyar and Luqman Moradi.

Who are Luqman and Zanyar Moradi

They are from Marivan.Luqman because of his past political activities and Zanyar because of his family’s involvement in politics have been arrested and accused of terror. Luqman and Zanyar are not related to each other but have the same surnames.Maybe people who don’t know them think, they belong to the same family, having enmity with Marivan’s Friday prayer Imam and for this reason participated in murdering his son, but that is not the case.

Luqman Moradi ,Osman’s son was a resident of southern Kurdistan and due to his father’s illness the Iranian authorities gave him permission to come back to Iran and promised , only after a brief interrogation he could return to his home town, but after returning on 20 Bahman 1387( on 9 February 2010) he was arrested by the security forces and later he let him go on bail .Later he was re-arrested again on 20 Farvardin 1388( on 9 April 2010),and after 24 hours he was charged with "terrorism and murder".His verdict was the killing of Friday prayer Imam’s son. so that, first he has to leave his fingerprint on a white paper and later confess the killing Imam Jome’s son he was forced to sign the paper. thus, he was accused of killing him.On the other hand he was severely tortured the intelligence office even forced him to participate in a show on Press TV ,Islamic republic TV, to admit the charge.

In a letter Luqman says : Itelat agents by torturing him took him forcefully to Imam’s home’s home in order to confess that he had killed his son in front of him. Intelligence officers told him further more he had to confess and admit that he had done that under the order of British government and Komala Party.

Zanyar Moradi ,the son of Iqbal who has never been a member of any political party or group had travelled to southern Kurdistan on 11 Mordad to visit his family members. He was arrested by intelligence officers and was transferred to detention in Sanandaj ,he was severely tortured and security officials threatened to rape him if he did not confess to the charge they will stop a bottle in his anal , although he was suffering from gastrointestinal aliment. After enduring six months , prison in Sanandaj jail , he was transferred to intelligence office ,security guards told him "you have to admit that you have carried out this assassination by the order of British government and Komala pary, and someone called Jalil Fatahi planned terror who was now in England. Security guards also told him that they want only to make problem for British government. Finally, they would have make him free, but again they transferred him to Evin in 2009 .In prison he did not have any communication with his family , he was tortured by brutal methods . At last on Bahman 1389 in branch 15 of Tehran revolutionary court , he was sentenced to death by judge Salavati.

Iqbal is Zanyar’s father who lives in Iraqi Kurdistan ,intelligence office told Loqman call to Zanyar’s father and tell him that Zanyar is injured in border of Kurdistan ,by this trick they wanted to kill Loqman’ s father , actually they issue this verdict for his son to strike him.

Luqman and zanyar Moradi in some letters reject all of their charges, they say the whole confessions are obtained under torture from then and intelligence office have forced them to admit the acts and none of these allegations are true .Both of them are now awaiting their execution.

Kurdistan human rights organization with the necessary information and knowledge about Luqman and Zanyar from different sources also by some meeting with their family members has achieved the following results:

 

1- Zanyar is not a member of any political party or Pishmarga force ,he only went to north of Iraq (Kurdistan) to visit his family members.

 

2-Zanyar and Luqman were tortured many times and with two other prisoners Ata Bakhshi and Reza Sharifi Bokani are transferred to Alqaeda ward jail. Dozens of people have been poured into that place and the wards severely have beaten them.

 

3- Zanyar death sentence is only to break the morale of his family because his family are political activists and regime could not access to family ,espesialy his father Iqbal Moradi.

 

4-Marivan people and even Imam Jome himself announce that they are not sure -these two young men- will be the killers of Imam’s son.

 

5-This sentence is only to intimidate people and spread an atmosphere of fear among them ,in order to achieve political goals, which Islamic regime and intelligence office are aiming at.

 

 

We as Kurd-Europe Human Rights Organization, while express our grave concern about the situation of these two Kurdish prisoners believe that their crime are only is to be dissidents ,we want carrying of this unjust verdict to be stopped at once!
